Cole Instruments manufactures the highest-quality surgical punches on the market. These punches are ideal for manual use or assisted use with a mechanical extractor. Cole Instruments, Inc. (CII) offers two different styles of punches available in multiple sizes. The stainless steel CII punches offer the sharpest cutting edge available. The hardened steel improves the life of the cutting edge, while the thin walls reduce friction. This enables the CII punch to have the least amount of resistance during skin penetration. Using the CII punch, physicians have been able to extract over 2000 grafts with a single CII punch. The optimal cutting characteristics along with the minimal depth features of the manual or mechanical punch holders ensure the CII punch will produce the fastest rate of extraction along with the lowest rate of follicle injury.
Classic CI Standard (Clasic) Punch
The Classic CI punch is designed for use in the Cole Instruments manual punch handle. The sizes vary from 0.75 mm to 1.35 mm. The Cole Instruments handle allows for precise depth control to minimize the risk of follicular damage. They can be used on the manual punch holder, Vortex, mPCID, and PCID.
The Serrounded punch is a serrated tip punch offering a much sharper edge than the classic CII punch. The Serrounded Punches are available in sizes from 0.75 mm to 1.30 mm. The Serrounded punches reduce the cutting surface in contact with the skin at multiple angles while reducing the friction. The surrounded punches are recommended for the PCID, but can also be used on the manual punch holder, mPCID, and Vortex.
The Wind-O punch is a serrated punch that has window openings to allow for non-shaven surgery to take place. The Non-shaven (or Unshaven, No-Shave) surgery is used as a part of the FUE procedure where the patient wants to retain their hair after surgery. It allows for the hair follicle to remain after surgery for quicker recovery. We only have available in the 0.80 mm and 1.15 mm sizes.
